Student organization: International Debate CBS

Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/295603174434717/?ti=cl

Event Description: Are we witnessing a meltdown of the liberal order as we know it today? Is democracy as a phenomenon in crisis – and what can we then expect for the future?

In the very week of BREXIT, we are pleased to inform you that we will have the prize-winning journalist and editor Clement Kjersgaard out for a talk on the status of democracy. We live in a time of change, with the Brits trying to leave the EU, a US backing out of several international agreements and even the French-German core is having troubles. And what happened to the Arab spring?
In the meanwhile, the Chinese are strengthening their role with the enormous belt and road initiative and Russian interference in democratic elections has become a part of a new reality.
What does this mean? Is democracy in crisis?

Händel's Messiah (Concert)

Student organization: CBS Culture

Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/271570397040950/

Event Description: Winter is coming and so is Christmas! And no Christmas without a Christmas concert.

Händel’s Messiah is one of the greatest traditions of the Christmas month. You might not know the names. However you do know the music (or at least some of it – have a listen below if you do not believe us)! It has become one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works in western music.

This performance will be a very special, informal, and unconventional one. The settings will be Blocs and Walls, the biggest climbing hall in the North. There will be climbing angels on the walls and a bar you can visit during the performance. The choir will be extraordinary colorful, and the soloists will move around the room. During the performance the conductor, Nenia Zenana, will introduce and explain the five themes of the piece.

This is a unique opportunity to get further insight in the music and the story behind it.
Price: 70 kr. FOR STUDENTS ONLY

CBS Students Anniversary party

16.00-02.00 at Café Nexus

Join the Facebook Event HERE.

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of CBS Students we invite all students to take part in the grand celebration on Thursday, December 6th!

This anniversary would never be possible without the dedicated students of CBS, which is why we will treat you, the students, with:

- Free birthday cake from 16:00 served by Spisestuerne

- Free beer from 19:00 served by Café Nexus

Besides the 10-year anniversary of CBS Students, we are celebrating a few other anniversaries. 50 years ago the student rebellion of 1968 gave students a common voice and enabled the student influence we enjoy today. We are also celebrating 30 years of Spisestuerne, our student owned canteen, which started on the initiative of students at CBS who wanted better food and longer opening hours. Last but not least, Café Nexus is turning 18 years, which means that it is now old enough to buy its own beer on Thursdays.

Join us celebrating the past half a century of student influence!

✤ Happy hour is 17-18 and 21-22, 2 x beers 35kr ✤
