In a research report from January, Goldman Sachs stated that Bitcoin could probably be the new gold. Goldman Sachs analysts predict that bitcoin has the potential to cross the US$100.000 mark in coming years, and that the proportion of bitcoin in a portfolio will only increase with time. Fast-forward to April, Goldman Sachs decides to co-sign Bitcoin & Ethereum for their high-net worth clients. It is safe to say, that crypto is here to stay.

The theme of this event is “The Evolution of Money”, and provides an outline of basic money theory, historical forms of money and focus on what qualities gold possesses, that has made us attach great value to the asset for thousands of years. With this same approach, Bitcoin is presented, where parallels are drawn to gold. The goal of this event is to present Bitcoin in an educational way so that participants leave with a basic understanding of how to relate to this new asset, with less emphasize on the blockchain aspect.
