Event Description: Miss Carla Sands, appointed by the U.S Senate in 2017 as the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, is going to discuss the future of Danish-American relations with Professor Eddie Ashbee.

During the current turbulent state of international relations, diplomacy is becoming as important as ever.

Therefore, International Debate CBS is inviting the new American Ambassador to CBS for an interview about the state of US foreign relations and DK-US relations.

Prior to her career, Ambassador Sands had a diverse role in the entrepreneurial, investment, and philanthropic sectors, with a focus on community service and education. As Chairman of Vintage Capital Group, LLC, she also served on President Trump's Transition Finance Committee and Economic Advisory Council in 2016 and was the California Delegate for the 33rd Congressional District to the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Being a strong personal supporter of the current President, Donald Trump, during his electoral campaign, Carla Sands was appointed as the new American Ambassador in December 2017. Since, she has been very vocal on defense questions, as well as Danish-American business ties.
