Dear fellow student
You now have a unique opportunity to help CBS, yourself and your fellow students improve the quality of your education by getting better and more classes.
If you think that the CBS administration can be a bit tricky to deal with at times, that you have too few classes and too many external lecturers, now is your chance to help CBS do something about it.
The Danish Parliament (the Folketing) is currently working on the Budget and in that connection, the value added funding for Danish universities has been discussed. Value added funding is the amount of money granted by the government to the institutions per student who completes his or hers degree. For many years, CBS has received the lowest rate compared to other Danish universities. So far, it looks like we may actually get increased value added funding, but CBS needs your help in order to succeed.
Therefore, CBS's student organisation, CBS Students, hopes that you will help by signing the petition below. The signatures will be passed on to the Danish Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Helge Sander, along with the message that the social science programmes have been downgraded and are in serious need of more resources.
If we succeed in getting increased value added funding, CBS President Johan Roos has promised that the money be spent on the different programmes so that we, the students, will be able to feel a change for the better in our everyday life at CBS.

If you are interested in getting to know more about the current situation, you are welcome to participate in CBS Students' briefing on Thursday 17 October at 17:00 at Café Nexus. CBS's president and the undersigned will tell you more about the situation and answer any questions you may have.
If you are interested in making CBS a better place for yourself and your fellow students, the CBS election is coming up. You have the opportunity to run for the following councils and boards:
- The Study Board - decides on the content of the individual study programmes (50% students)
- The Academic Council - gives advice to the CBS president regarding the teaching qualityof the different study programmes (3 students)
- The Board - is the governing body of CBS and has the responsibility for the budget and the long term strategy (2 students)
